About the Author, Susan Porter
I have spent all of my life on or close to the ocean and learned about conservation at an early age. I was certified to dive in 1970 and thirty one years later Bonaire became my home. It was here that I became obsessed with snorkeling, shore diving and A.L.F. (annoying little fish), thus earning an AAT level 5 rating with REEF.org. In 2005 I attended the AGRRA (Atlantic Gulf Rapid Reef Assessment) workshop as a representative for STINAPA. I am an active member of the Lionfish Removal Team. My interest and desire is to continue to learn about and help protect Bonaire's reefs and their inhabitants and to share that information with others.
