High Quality Gear - Divemaster & Instructor tested and approved
Buy scuba diving and wetsuit gear hangers in Canada — multi-purpose wetsuit and BCD hangers, drysuit hangers, accessories hangers for boots, gloves and hoods, and foldable travel hangers for wetsuit and BCD. Proper storage of neoprene and BCD equipment between dives and between seasons significantly extends the life of the gear. A wire hanger creases and stresses a wetsuit at the shoulders; a wide padded hanger supports the full weight without distortion. A drysuit stored hanging upside down by the boots — the correct position — protects the neck seal from stretch and allows the interior to dry completely. All hangers are used and recommended by our Divemasters.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a regular clothes hanger for my wetsuit?
A standard wire hanger is not suitable for a wetsuit — the narrow wire concentrates all the weight of the wetsuit at a single point on each shoulder, creating permanent creases in the neoprene and stressing the stitching at the shoulder seams. Over one to two seasons, this causes visible deformation and can weaken the seam at the exact point where fit and flexibility matter most. A wide-arm wetsuit hanger distributes the weight across the full shoulder panel, preserving the shape and avoiding stress concentration. A proper wetsuit hanger costs about $25 — considerably less than the damage it prevents on a suit that might cost $400 or more.
How long does it take for a wetsuit to dry properly?
A 7mm wetsuit hung on a proper wide-arm hanger in a ventilated space typically takes 6 to 12 hours to dry on the outside and longer for the interior lining — particularly around the collar, wrists, and ankle areas where the neoprene is thickest. Turning the wetsuit inside out after the exterior has dried speeds up interior drying significantly. In cold or humid environments (common in Canadian gear rooms and garages), drying can take longer — never store a wetsuit until the interior lining is completely dry. A damp wetsuit stored in a closed bag or locker will develop mildew and permanent odor within a few days.
